neither (2019) was inspired by the poem “Could you talk to us about your country’s historical memory?” by Cindy Jiménez-Vera. The sense of non-belonging and the constant diaspora expressed in the poem resonates strongly with my experience. So in neither, maternal and geographic exiles are interpreted as fluid, migratory forms. The book is silkscreen and letterpress printed on handmade cotton and abaca paper.
